The 17th Edition of TATA IPL 2024 was Concluded on 26 May 2024, Sunday. Kolkata Knight Riders Single Handedly beat Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Finals in M.A Chidambaram Stadium. Kolkata Knight Riders Won their third IPL title after nearly a decade. The last time the team won their trophy was in 2014 under the captain and Current Mentor of team Gautam Gambhir. Gambhir brings the Magic after joining the KKR again but in a new role as their Mentor . The tactics and plan worked in their favour that helped the KKR Management to bring their third trophy in the cabinet.
In this edition of TATA IPL 2024 we have witnessed a total number of 74 Matches. Many Records are broken this year like the highest chase against KKR for PBKS. SRH and KKR both broke the RCB highest run record in one innings. The Season for this edition was a destructive one as bowlers were beaten brutally in some venues. With the impact player rule being used in the edition of TATA IPL 2024, the dynamics of the game changed. 200 plus total was not much secure as targets are being chased so much easily. Kolkata Knight Riders ended up at first position after the league games were over. Sunrisers Hyderabad ended up at second spot with an excellent performance in the league matches. Rajasthan Royals ended their campaign of league matches for third spot. Royal Challengers Bengaluru miraculously performed well in their last six league matches and gained 4th spot to qualify for play off.
